Co-curricular activities 

In addition to academic studies, every student should participate in co-curricular activities. By participating in co-curricular activities, a student can expand his/her talents. Rajshahi University has many such organizations and students can work to develop their creativity by getting involved with these organizations. So, there is no option to participate in co-curricular activities along with studies to make yourself 100% perfect. Rajshahi University has many organizations like: BNCC, Rovering, Rangers, Cultural Activities, Debating Club, English Language Club, Readers Forum, Gymnasium, Sports Competitions and others. One can easily develop one’s talent by getting involved with these organizations. Roving: Roving is a voluntary activity. Rovering is one such activity where self-development can be done by getting involved. Rovering is primarily an outdoor program. Where students are given hands-on training. A student who is able to complete the program of Rovering will be able to make himself hundred percent self-reliant. A Rover can participate in various programs at home and abroad, including Rover Moots and World Scout Jamborees. After all, there is no substitute for participating in Rovering activities to make yourself self-dependent. Rovers mostly participate in voluntary activities. Rajshahi University provides voluntary service by assisting the students during the admission test. BNCC and Rover organize the Victory Day display on 16th December every year.

Debating Competition

Rajshahi University has many debating clubs. By participating in debating activities, one can overcome their inertia. To be a good debater one can must possess creative thinking. Those who participate in debating activities can establish themselves as good speakers. All students of Shaheed Shamsuzzoha Institute of Biosciences can become members of the Rajshahi University Debating Club and participate in debating activities. Apart from studies, participation in these co-curricular activities will help a student to become self-dependable.

Games and Sports

Regular sports competitions are held at Rajshahi University every year. Since Shaheed Shamsuzzoha Institute of Biosciences is an affiliated institution of Rajshahi University, the students of this institution can participate in the sports competitions of Rajshahi University. The students of this institute regularly pay the Rajshahi University Sports Council fees. So, students will be able to showcase their skills by participating in inter-college competitions at Rajshahi University.

Cultural Activities

Rajshahi University has many cultural organizations. Students who like cultural activities can become members of these cultural organizations. Cultural organizations play an important role in making students self-confident and build themselves good leadership qualities. It is possible to develop one’s talent by participating in cultural activities.
